Announcing the winning of Imgae Contest

Tamazouzt Chennit from the EMAT group at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) has been selected as the winner of our image competition at EMC2024. Her outstanding image, titled Ptychographic Reconstruction of a Single Apoferritin Molecule at Ultra-Low Electron Doses, highlights Apoferritin, a protein responsible for iron storage in the human body. This protein has garnered interest in microscopy due to its imaging challenges. The image was reconstructed using the extended Ptychographic Iterative Engine (ePIE) technique.
